• Developer has 'Redevelopment' status to ask for pay "Payment In Lieu Of Taxes" — a scheme that provides tax breaksto developer instead of normal property taxes
The Impact
Significant Tax Increases! Proposed PILOT (Payment In Lieu of Taxes )program provides huge tax break, the deficit to be picked up by Lambertville residents (on top of our other tax increases)!
Runoff from Former Landfill and Electronics Factory that used Teflon /PFAS will flow downhill, into the canal and out of our kitchen taps!
Increased flooding, erosion, and pollution in town from the removal of up to 1400 trees!
Increased Demand on our services due to a 15 % increase in town population - water, sewer, schools, police, fire, trash - with no change in our infrastructure! All impacting current Lambertville residents’ cost of living!
Up to 500 Additional Vehicles burdening our already overtaxed local roads and Commercial Business District parking
Negative Visual Impact - flattening of the mountain and large retaining walls to build 200 units in 3 and 4 story buildings, destroying our scenic view
