200 homes are being proposed for the old Lambertville High School site.

Tax breaks for the developers will increase the financial burden of every home and business —  above and beyond our already regular increases.

Decades worth of “forever toxins” from the old manufacturing sites on the Hill leach into Lambertville yards, into our drinking water, and will only accelerate with the development.

Our Master Plan and zoning are outdated and no longer fit for purpose, and urgently need update and modernization.

 

It’s not too late

The ordinance to approve the KHov redevelopment plan has passed the City Council — BUT negotiation for the redevelopment agreement  is  happening now. Construction has not begun. 

Your participation matters more than ever. Attend upcoming planning board meetings and make your voice heard. 

 

Insist Our City Officials Address These Issues

• When will the Master Plan be reviewed ? When will  the new plan be finalized? How can residents participate in the process?

• When will the City use the New Master Plan to Update and Change our Outdated Zoning and Land Use Ordinances?

• Why should a profitable developer get a tax break? (we approved extra units to ensure profitability)

• How will schools manage new students without more funding?

• Will the city require full property taxes instead of a PILOT?

• How will flooding, stormwater, parking and traffic be managed for this project and for the city ?

• Who ensures long-term accountability for this project?

 

SOUL will continue to monitor this project and demand transparency and accountability. Updates will be posted.
